Hydraulic Cutter Head Dredge

1. Cutter Ladder & Cutter Head Assembly

Clear weeds, tree roots, fishing nets and stones wrapped around the cutter.

Inspect cutter teeth, holders and lock pins for crack, severe wear or looseness.

Check slurry leakage from cutter shaft seal and abnormal bearing noise.

Examine hinge pins and lugs for cracks and insufficient lubrication.

Check ladder lifting wire ropes and pulleys for broken wires and rust.

2. Dredge Pump & Discharge Pipeline

Remove blockages on suction strainer to guarantee smooth water intake.

Inspect pump casing, flanges, flexible hoses and elbows for damage and slurry leakage.

Check pipe wall abrasion and aging sealing gaskets.

Confirm pipe clamps and supports are tightly fixed without pipeline deformation.

3. Main & Auxiliary Diesel Engines of Hydraulic Cutter Head Dredge

Check levels of engine oil, cooling water and fuel; top up if insufficient.

Inspect fuel, cooling and oil pipes for leakage and loose joints.

Check air filter for dust blockage; blow dust if heavily contaminated.

Confirm intact radiator and exhaust pipe with tight engine base bolts.

4. Hydraulic System of Cutter Head Dredge

Keep hydraulic oil level within standard range; check oil for water emulsification.

Full inspection of hydraulic hoses, cylinder joints, valve blocks and motors for oil seepage and hose rupture.

Verify no external leakage on cutter motor and winch cylinders.

Check differential pressure indicator of hydraulic filters; replace clogged filter elements.

5. Spud & Winch Mechanism

Ensure smooth lifting/lowering of spud poles without jamming; check wear of sleeves and guides.

Inspect steel wire ropes for broken strands, bulges and rust distortion.

Test reliable braking performance of winch brakes and clutches.

Grease all lubrication points including pulleys, pins and guide sleeves.

6. Electrical & Control System

Confirm normal readings of touch screen, depth gauge, hydraulic pressure and temperature gauges.

Check intact cable sheath and tight wiring terminals without damp oxidation.

Keep control cabinet dry without condensate water; test emergency stop and alarm lights.

Verify functional deck lighting, warning lamps and protective earthing circuit.

7. Hull, Anti-corrosion & Safety Equipment

Clean sludge on deck and drain all bilge accumulated water.

Inspect hull welds and plates for leakage; check integrity of sacrificial zinc anodes.

Confirm intact guard rails, ladders, life-saving appliances and fire extinguishers.

Ensure all watertight hatches are well sealed.
