Cutter head suction dredger working principle
After the dredger hull is positioned and fixed by anchors and rear spuds, the cutter ladder is lowered to the riverbed by the ladder winch. The rotating cutter head stirs sediment and water into slurry. The dredge pump draws the slurry and provides hydraulic conveyance power. The slurry is pumped through discharge pipelines to reclamation areas several kilometers away. Cutting, suction and pipeline transportation run continuously without transshipment by hopper barges, achieving high-efficiency uninterrupted dredging and reclamation.
Cutter head suction dredger main components
1.Hull: Two side pontoons and one middle main pontoon
2.Cutting system: Cutter head, cutter ladder, gear reducer, winches
Pumping & delivery system: Submersible dredge pump, main diesel engine, drive shaft, floating pipeline, rubber hoses, shore discharge pipes
3.Positioning system: Spud, anchors, side winches, steel cables
