In 2018, we delivered one 550-series river cutter head sand dredging equipment to Port Harcourt, Nigeria. The client intended to extract sand from river near the estuary with two clear requirements:
1.The river featured great water depth, requiring a dredging depth of 18 meters;
2.Proximity to the estuary resulted in high salinity water, demanding superior anti-corrosion performance.
To meet the client's demands, our cutter suction dredger was engineered with a 25-meter ladder length to achieve the 18-meter dredging depth. The hull is coated with three layers of marine paint: two primer coats plus one topcoat supplied by renowned marine coating brands Jotun and Hempel. Sacrificial zinc anodes are evenly distributed across the hull, connected by bolts for convenient replacement.
