2.1 Real-time Monitoring During Dredging
Monitor engine water temperature, oil pressure and exhaust temperature; reduce load and stop machine for overheating.
Track hydraulic pressure and oil temperature; suspend operation for cooling when overheated.
Listen for abnormal noise from cutter head and dredge pump, lift ladder for inspection immediately.
Control proper slurry density to avoid pipe blockage or low production waste of power.
Record operating hours and maintenance logs every day.

2.2 Post-shutdown Daily Servicing
Circulate clean water through pump and full pipeline to drain residual silt.
Lift cutter head out of water, clear sediment and coat exposed metal with anti-rust grease.
Grease all lubrication points: ladder pins, pulleys, cutter bearings and winch bearings.
Drain water and sediment from the bottom of fuel tank and hydraulic oil tank.
Cut off main power supply, cover control cabinet against rain and moisture.
Clean deck sludge, inspect hull leakage and close watertight hatches.
Complete daily operation, fault and maintenance records.

2.3 Weekly & Monthly Routine Maintenance for 6000m3 heavy sand suction dredging machine

2.3.1 Weekly

Measure cutter pick wear thickness and replace severely worn picks.

Check clearance between pump impeller and liner; repair or replace worn parts.

Lubricate steel wire ropes with anti-rust grease and count broken wires.

Blow dust off air filters and hydraulic filter housings; calibrate depth gauge and pressure gauges.

2.3.2 Monthly

Replace oil filter, fuel filter and hydraulic return filter.

Clean sediment at the bottom of hydraulic oil tank.

Inspect critical welds of ladder and hull, repair cracks by welding.

Replace aged leaking pump shaft mechanical seals.

Renew aging pipeline flange gaskets; grind and repaint rusted hull areas.
