Daily Maintenance Work for 4000m3 Sand dredging machine in sea dredging (Pre-operation Daily Inspection)

Cutter Head & Ladder System

Clear weeds, tree roots and debris wrapped on cutter teeth to avoid stalling overload.

Inspect cutter teeth for wear, crack and loose lock pins.

Check cutter shaft seal for slurry leakage and bearing abnormal noise.

Check hinge pins and lugs of cutter ladder for crack and insufficient lubrication.

Dredge Pump & Discharge Pipelines

Clean blockages on suction screen; inspect pump casing, flanges and hoses for slurry leakage.

Check elbows and pipe wall thickness for abrasion damage.

Flush entire pipeline with clean water before shutdown to prevent silt sediment clogging.

Main Diesel Engine

Check engine oil level, cooling water and fuel volume; replenish timely.

Inspect fuel and water pipe leakage; blow dust off air filter.

Observe exhaust smoke color to judge abnormal combustion.

Hydraulic System

Keep hydraulic oil level within standard range; check oil for water emulsification or contamination.

Full-line inspection of hydraulic hoses, cylinder joints and valve blocks for oil seepage and hose cracking.

Check abnormal jitter and noise of cutter motor, winch cylinders and spud cylinders.

Replace hydraulic filter element once differential pressure alarm triggers.

Spud & Winch System

Check spud poles and sleeves for wear and jamming during lifting/lowering.

Inspect steel wire ropes for broken wires, bulges and rust.

Test winch brake and clutch to ensure reliable braking.

Grease all pulley and guide sleeve lubrication points.

Electrical & Control System

Verify normal readings of depth sensors, pressure gauges and touch screen.

Check cable sheath integrity and tight wiring terminals; dehumidify control cabinet.

Test emergency stop, alarm light and safety grounding device.

Hull & Anti-corrosion Safety

Clean deck sludge, drain bilge accumulated water; check consumption of sacrificial zinc anodes.

Confirm intact guard rails, ladders, life-saving and fire-fighting equipment.

Inspect hull welds for rust and cracks.
