What are the main components of a jet sand suction dredger?
Floating hull
Mostly assembled pontoon flat-bottom hulls to carry all equipment, featuring shallow draft and easy disassembly & transportation; small models adopt split buoy structures.
High-pressure water flushing system
Including high-pressure water pumps, high-pressure pipelines, front multiple water guns and pressure regulating valves. High-speed water jets scour and loosen underwater sediment layers.
Suction and discharge system
Consists of suction head, suction pipeline, main dredge pump and discharge floating pipelines. It sucks slurry by negative pressure generated by the dredge pump and transports slurry outward.
Power drive system
Diesel generator sets or direct-driven diesel engines, supplying power for high-pressure water pumps and dredge pumps, equipped with cooling systems and fuel tanks.
Operation control system
Control console, valve assemblies and gauges (pressure, flow, liquid level meters) to control start/stop and flow adjustment of water guns and pump units.
Auxiliary devices

The operation control system of jet sand suction dredgers is generally simple and easy to operate, with obvious advantages compared with cutter suction dredgers and bucket wheel dredgers.
